You’re here because – like us – you care about making this world a better place.

We do what we do because we want to help, and one of our missions in life is to promote the sustainable living revolution.

We were so tired of all the chemicals in expensive commercial cleaners, and knew we had to do something about it; so rather than climbing a soapbox to complain, we committed to incite change by changing ourselves.

After awhile our passion for positive change led us to create and grow a community of like minded people.

People like you!

Inspiring and growing the diyNatural community is the key to real change, but it only started because we made the commitment to change ourselves.

That’s what diyNatural is about.

That’s why we wrote this diyNatural Household Cleaners book.

And that’s why we’re in the process of writing several more books; one about homemade personal products and another about homemade natural condiments.

Serenity

That looks like a peaceful place to sit and talk with yourself, let your mind wander, Look back where you were, take in the here and now and dream about tomorrow…

/dev/null/ken

There’s a sort of serenity that one feels when wandering or hiking through a natural setting. When I was younger it seems like I was able to maintain or retain or conjure that feeling even after leaving the natural setting. At least for a time. As I get older it often seems more difficult to conjure that feeling by purely power of will. I think I need to compel myself to spend more of that time needed to take nature hikes, as our seemingly declining world requires ever more internalized serenity to endure. Of course, maybe it’s just me.

I am back, Sour Grapes

No one can prepare for the heights you will soar, until you spread your wings…

Mission Main Street Grants, I had to try, I had to tell the world my goal for a better tomorrow. I had to try and get 250 votes so I could continue.  I sent request, I pleaded…Not many thought my idea/goal was worth voting for I have some dear friends Thomas & Melody family Denise…Thank you a million times thank you, when I last looked I had 14 votes that is insane. How many times do I support other’s and boost their cause…Alot…I like people post because they are my peeps… even when I do not agree

, Or so I thought…

I thought 250 votes would be a cinch, no problemo, I was wrong.  Let me ask the question was I being delusional… My haters are my motivators, I did find out  people do not like to see anyone get ahead especially black people. Why you hating you could have applied, it was open to the public. The questions gave a great outline. I will start there.  Does not really matter I am a little hurt by the lack of family votes. Life goes on and I will continue to go forward.

There is no way you can be a eagle when you hanging with ducks…I love my idea, I loved my proposal tomorrow is the last day to vote…Whatever will be, will be… I am going to rewrite it

1 Tell us about your business and what makes it unique. Please provide a general description of your product, customers, competitive landscape, and overall performance.
2 What inspired you to become an entrepreneur? Describe both your greatest achievements and biggest challenges.

3 How is your business involved with the community you serve? Examples include: giving back to the community, sourcing locally, and/or contributing to economic development via hiring.

4 What would a $150,000 grant mean to your business and how will you utilize the funds? Please be as specific as possible.
Paying it forward has always been our main Goal we want to make a difference… And having the money to hire additional people, sustain some of our Goals, teaching others to be self sufficient, would be a blessing since 2004 we have dreamed, planned and put so much into our community but there is so much more we could do.

5 What are your short-term (1-2 years) and long-term growth plans for the business? How will this grant contribute to your plan?

and present to lenders and investors.  The forgotten can be helped. There is a way. I think I have the best Ticket… Come for the ride, stay for the soap.  I would have really liked to visit Google offices… I would have listened to every word. I have to study for class Lord’s will and the creek does not rise talk to you tomorrow.

If you do not mind would you please cast your vote for us?   http://www.missionmainstreetgrants.com/business/detail/53409

Around the World in Nine Photos

I want to travel the world…Can I leave right now?LOL

The WordPress.com Blog

Do you love stories from around the world? Check out the work of the following nine photographers on WordPress.com and allow your imagination to take you away…

Nathanael‘s monochrome photo of the Star Lite Motel in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, conjures images of wayward romances and clandestine meetings. We loved the marquee’s message, “Forgive and forget its human to err.” (sic) which offers an almost haunting absolution. For more of Nathanael’s work, check out his blog, G’Nat’s Eye View.

The image below, by UK photographer Andy Hooker, had us at hello. We love how the sign matches the woman’s red coat and how her right leg is in crisp focus just as her stride reaches the “h” above her head. Check out more of Andy’s work at LensScaper.
